Your laptop, power bank, phone, and your friend's phone. All at once.

The SolarFold 65W is for when 45W isn't enough — longer trips, heavier power needs, or simply not wanting to ration who charges next. Supports up to 65W USB-C PD means most laptops charge at their maximum rated speed, straight from the sun. No power station needed.

What it actually does:

  • Charges a MacBook, Dell, or HP laptop via USB-C PD at full speed in good sunlight
  • Charges a 20,000mAh power bank in ~3.5 hours
  • Runs multiple devices simultaneously without dropping output significantly
  • On a cloudy day, still delivers 30–50% output — more headroom than the 45W when light is patchy
  • In India's 5–6 peak sun hours, generates 300–400Wh per day — enough for lights, fans, and full device charging

Why it's built differently:

  • Charges laptops properly — full 65W USB-C PD, not the trickle-charge most panels give
  • Survives the monsoon — IP67 waterproof and ETFE laminated. Built for Indian weather, not just Instagram photos
  • More power, not much more weight — 1.7kg, folds to 265×400mm. Still fits in a pack
  • Low-light edge — monocrystalline cells, higher wattage means better real-world output when the sun isn't perfect

Who it's for: Trekkers on multi-day Himalayan expeditions. Work-from-anywhere setups. Families running fans and lights through power cuts. Anyone whose 45W panel always felt slightly short.

Need a complete off-grid setup? Our [65W Starter Kit] bundles this panel with a charge controller and wiring — everything you need to charge a 12V battery and run your home essentials during outages.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between the 45W and 65W?

The 65W produces about 44% more power. Choose 65W if you need to charge larger devices (laptops, power banks, multiple devices simultaneously) or want faster charging. Choose 45W if portability and weight are your priority.

Will this charge my phone directly?

Yes — the panels have USB Type-C and USB-A outputs. You can plug your phone cable directly into the panel without any additional equipment.

Can it charge a laptop?

Yes — via USB Type-C. Most modern laptops (MacBook, Dell, HP) charge via USB-C and the 65W panel handles laptops better, but the 45W can charge ultrabooks via USB-C in good sunlight.

Do I need a battery or charge controller?

Not for charging phones, tablets, or small devices directly. But if you want to charge a 12V battery (for running fans, LED lights, etc.) you'll need a charge controller — which we sell separately or as part of our Starter Kit.

Will it work on a cloudy day?

Yes, but at reduced output — typically 20-40% of rated power. Monocrystalline panels perform better in low light than polycrystalline, so it'll still charge your devices, just slower.

Is it waterproof?

Yes — IP67 rated and ETFE laminated. It can handle rain and dust. Don't submerge it, but outdoor use in Indian weather is completely fine.

How long to charge my phone with this panel?

In good sunlight, a typical 5000mAh phone charges in 1-2 hours directly from the panel.

How much power does it generate per day?

In India with 5-6 peak sunlight hours, the 65W panel generates roughly 300-400Wh per day — enough to charge multiple phones, run LED lights, or top up a small battery.

Is it suitable for rural home backup?

Yes — this is one of our most popular use cases. Pair it with a 12V battery and charge controller for a basic off-grid setup that runs LED lights and fans during power cuts.
